CAT STORIES

SYD
Syd lived his life at the end of a short chain. He had no shelter, no water and ate off the ground.
He was surrendered to us and immediately placed in a foster home. They fell so in love with Syd
that they decided to make him a member of their family. He now lives in the house and has two
little boys and another dog to play with. A very happy ending for Syd.
MORE HAPPY ENDINGS!!
Mikey is one of 3 pups found
wandering Spalding Park.
Mikey's current owner spent days
trying to catch the 3 pups and
was finally successful. The other
two pups were placed together.
All are doing great!
Bobbi Jo is a petite border collie
mix. She and her pups were living
outside in a shed in Weippe this
past winter. Their owner couldn't
afford to care for them anymore.
We were able to place her with a
great family and also found
wonderful homes for 3 pups.
Hogan is a beautiful, strong Rottie/Newfoundland cross. Hogan spent his first two years on a logging chain, which may
have delayed the learning process dogs need in their puppyhood, but it didn't discourage his craving for human/animal
contact. During his stay in an experienced foster program, this guy has blossomed into his dream of being his family's
playful indoor/outdoor companion. He is social with all dogs and loves to be the caretaker of his pack, which is typical
of his breeding. Hogan invites all into his pack and is very submissive to females. They seem to like him, too. He still
requires a lot of exercise and positive direction. Hogan's needs are simple; affection, exercise, companions and frolicking
in the water. There are many qualities in this dog that haven't surfaced yet. He's just too busy being free. This guy will
only get better as he learns there won't be any more chains in his life. Hogan has been adopted and is now a member of a
family and enjoying the life he deserves!
Lexi was living in a burned out house in
Clarkston. We trapped her and put her
in a foster home where she flourished.
Someone came to Petco, saw Lexi and
new she was the perfect cat for her. Lexi
is enjoying a better, and very deserved,
life.
Muffin went to a home last fall where she
had the best of everything.
Unfortunately, she was returned due to
allergies. We were very lucky to find her
another great home. Her litter was
originally  found in a stall at the Roundup
Grounds.
Buzz came to us when she was just
10-14 days old. Someone found her-
tucked under a shrub in the yard. Her
foster mom bottle fed her and Buzz
thrived. It took a long time to find a
home worthy of Buzz, but she's now a
happy and very spoiled little girl.
MISTY

Misty is a sweet, sweet dog. She was surrendered by her owner only
because she didn't have the time or the fenced yard that the Misty needs.
We found her a home where she'll get to go to work everyday and has a
little girl to play with when she comes home.  We believe the marks on
her head are from a dog fight, as she is also missing part of an ear.
